BayWa r.e. Global has an international renewable energy business focused on solar and wind farms, and trades oil and lubricants in Germany and Austria. It also trades agricultural produce and equipment within Europe and globally and is a retailer of building materials in Germany. In this thematic report Edison Group examines how the company’s agriculture segment is evolving in response to the need to feed a growing global population while adopting more sustainable farming practices. The review includes both initiatives that help farmers produce crops more sustainably and initiatives that help farmers mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change.
